The people of Dromore are again invited to get their town into shape as part of an exciting initiative that will look at how Dromore could be improved for its people and we now seek further input from the Community.
The draft Dromore Place Plan sets out a vision for the future to create a unique market town that is rich in built and natural heritage, and is primed for strategic growth.
The draft Place Plan has been created through a comprehensive engagement process with people who live and work in Dromore and it suggests some ‘Big Ideas’ including tackling vacancy and dereliction, Quillyburn lands, Viaduct and riverside developments.
The Dromore Place Plan is being taken forward by the Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Community Planning Partnership of which Council is the lead partner. This will be the third locality plan for the Borough under its new community planning remit and the partnership believes that places should be co-designed by the people who know them best – those who live, work, play and study there.
The online survey is now open, and will remain open until Sunday, 2 February 2025 and we would encourage you all to take part.
A number of public consultation sessions have been planned during December 2024 and January 2025 and we are looking forward to hearing from the Dromore Community on the draft Outcomes and Actions listed within the Draft Place Plan.
