Following the Department of Finance announcement today Friday, 10 November, on rate relief measures available to business premises impacted by the recent flooding, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in conjunction with Land & Property Services (LPS) will host information sessions for businesses impacted in the borough.
The sessions will take place in Portadown Town Hall on Thursday, 16 November, from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. Representatives from Council and Land & Property Services (LPS) will be available to provide one-to-one support and advice to those in attendance.
These information sessions aim to provide business owners with an opportunity to find out more about Hardship Rate Relief applications, the timelines for payment, examples of evidence required and how the applications will be assessed. Information on Non-Domestic Vacant Rating (NDVR) for vacant properties, the reshaping of payment plans and other specific rate queries will also be available.
The sessions will include information on the emergency rate relief measures for non-domestic rates on flooded properties as well as information on the relief for businesses that temporarily relocate to another vacant property. Further information can be found on the nibusinessinfo website at: https://www.nibusinessinfo.co.uk/emergencyraterelief
