Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council are excited to announce the upcoming ‘Meet the Funder’ event, taking place in Dromore Community Centre on Monday 20th January from 4pm to 7pm.

This event is a unique opportunity for community groups, church groups, sports organisations, other interest groups, businesses, and property owners from across the borough to engage directly with over 20 funding and support organisations.

It offers a welcoming environment for attendees to discuss their projects or plans, no matter what stage they are at in their funding journey. Representatives from a wide range of funding and support organisations will be available to provide advice on:

  • Developing and forming a group
  • Ensuring compliance with funding criteria
  • Identifying suitable funding streams to suit your needs
  • Navigating and support with funding applications
  • Networking opportunities
  • Upskilling and development opportunities

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect and meet face-to-face with representatives from organisations such as Community Foundation NI, Invest NI, National Churches Trust, National Garden Scheme NI, NI Housing Executive, Rural Support NI, Sport NI, Tesco Banbridge Extra, Southern Regional College and The National Lottery Heritage Fund to name a few.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, Councillor Sarah Duffy, commented: We as Council are very excited about this event that will provide an invaluable opportunity for individuals and organisations to meet directly with funders, seek guidance, and explore the many avenues of financial support available.

Whether you are at the initial idea stage or ready to move forward with your project, ‘Meet the Funder’ will equip you with the knowledge and connections to turn your plans into reality. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique event and see how we can work together to enhance our communities.”

The Meet the Funder event is designed to help you explore a wide range of funding opportunities, from small grants to larger-scale investments. This is a golden opportunity to connect with funding and support representatives who are eager to hear your ideas and help you succeed.

No matter what stage your project is at—whether it’s just an idea or already in progress—you’re encouraged to attend and make the most of this valuable opportunity.

The event will take place on Monday 20 January 2025 in Dromore Community Centre from 4pm to 7pm and is open to everyone.
