Lord Mayor’s Statement on Chief Executive’s IoD Honour

Congratulating Chief Executive, Roger Wilson on scooping this year’s Director of the Year Award (Public Sector) from the Institute of Directors Northern Ireland, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Glenn Barr said:

“I am delighted to learn that the Institute of Directors (IoD) Northern Ireland – Director of the Year Award 2021 (Public Sector) has been awarded to Chief Executive Roger Wilson. 

“This is a deserving award for Roger’s hard work and commitment to the borough over many years. Roger has been Chief Executive at the council since April 2014 and during this time he has led, and been involved in, a number of strategic events and projects, that have contributed significantly to the economic, social and physical regeneration of our borough; including the £40m South Lake Leisure Centre in Craigavon.

“On behalf of council I extend congratulations on this fitting acknowledgement”.
