Following the announcement that Charis Cancer Care will be the Lord Mayor’s chosen charity for 2023/2024, Alderman Margaret Tinsley was delighted to welcome representatives from the charity earlier this month.
Gathering at the Palace Armagh, the Lord Mayor got to meet Imelda McGucken and Fiona Brown from Charis Cancer Care to chat through how she can help boost the charity’s fundraising and awareness raising efforts during her term in office.
A charity close to the Lord Mayor’s heart, Charis Cancer Care provide a range of holistic and complementary therapies to individuals affected by cancer and their loved ones. Focusing on the whole person – their physical, psychological, and emotional needs – they offer body therapies, reflexology, massage, aromatherapy, counselling, and nutritional advice at their facility in Cookstown Co. Tyrone.
While based in Cookstown, Charis Cancer Care support people from right across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area.
