The Lord Mayor, Alderman Margaret Tinsley, along with Council’s Veterans Champion, Cllr Lavelle McIlwrath have attended the Royal British Legion in Ireland’s Annual Ceremony of Remembrance & Wreath Laying at the Irish National War Memorial Gardens, Islandbridge, Dublin on Saturday 8th July 2023.
The Lord Mayor had the honour of laying a poppy wreath during the event which was attended by representatives from many Royal British Legion Branches across Ireland along with representatives from the Irish Government and many foreign ambassadors.
