This festive period, there will be many residents in our community who will find things difficult as the cost-of-living crisis continues.
So, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are encouraging local businesses, who feel they are in a position to help others, to join with them as they try to relieve some of the pressure that the most vulnerable people in the borough are under.
How can businesses help? By making the ABC Community Food Hub their charity of choice this festive season.
“Christmas is typically seen as the most wonderful time of year – but for many, it simply brings added pressure, more stress, deep anxieties and a huge strain on simply trying to make ends meet,” commented the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Sarah Duffy.
“The ABC Community Food Hub along with our Food Banks and Social Supermarkets do an incredible job of helping the most vulnerable people in our society, but they do need more support. So, we are encouraging local businesses to make the ABC Community Food Hub their charity of choice this festive season and to help us to help others in their time of need.”
Businesses are being asked to support the Food Hub – which in turn supports four Food Banks and five Social Supermarkets – in a way that suits them, whether donating food and essentials or through financial support.
