Local Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Food Heartland producers are set to put their unrivalled food and drink produce on the menu at this year’s Lurgan and Armagh Agricultural Shows.
With the support of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, around eight local Food Heartland producers will pitch up at the Lurgan Show on Saturday 03 June and the Armagh Show on Saturday 10 June to showcase a fantastic array of artisanal and home-grown food and drink.
Something for everyone, the producers will have everything from wholesome jams and chutneys to the finest traditional and rare breed meats, from freshly prepared milkshakes to delicious artisan coffee, from craft beer and cider to authentic ginger wine to name a few.
Encouraging everyone to come along and support the borough’s amazing Food Heartland producers, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon, Councillor Paul Greenfield said:
“We are incredibly passionate and proud of the exceptional quality of our food and drink in the ABC borough and as always our presence at the Lurgan and Armagh Agricultural Shows allow us to celebrate and champion this amazing local offering and encourage visitors to enjoy it.”
“Through the council’s Food Heartland initiative, we are committed to helping local food and drink producers grow and succeed, and the Lurgan and Armagh Shows represent a fantastic opportunity for these local businesses to connect with customers and share their passion for the goods they make.
“So, make sure you visit our Food Heartland stands at this year’s shows to try some local tasty treats and learn more about the unique produce made right here in the borough.”
