Food Heartland showcase local food producers at Tannaghmore Bird Fair

As the crowds flock to the Tannaghmore Bird Fair at the picturesque Tannaghmore Gardens, Craigavon on Saturday 26 August 2023, Food Heartland are delighted to be supporting a showcase of local food producers, Rosemount Cottage Farm Meats, Granny V’s Kitchen, and Marshall Beekeeping, who will be presenting their delicious products to the hungry hordes.

The ever-popular event, which this year celebrates its 26th year, will feature birds of prey, an extensive poultry fair, sheep dog trials, blacksmithing, wood turning and stick carving demonstrations, arts and craft activities, climbing wall and Downe Vintage Car Club display as well as having the opportunity to sample some of our finest local food producers wares.

Rosemount Cottage Farm Meats is a small family-owned farm to fork business based in Portadown. Specializing in producing high-quality, grass-fed Dexter beef, rare breed pork, grass-fed lamb, and goat meat. They also work with other local farmers to source the best possible ingredients for their products.

On the day they will be dishing up a mouthwatering selection of burgers, hot dogs and breakfast baps all served from their new food trailer ensuring everything is cooked to order and served as fresh as can be.

Granny V’s Kitchen is a small business based in County Armagh that specializes in making delicious jams and chutneys. Granny V’s also partner with other local businesses including Woodstock NI and Troughtons to create bespoke gift sets.

At the Bird Fair, Granny V’s will be offering a variety of their award-winning products as well as their popular Granny V’s Jam and Chutney Gift Set which includes a selection of jams and chutneys, as well as a beautiful Woodstock NI charcuterie board or lazy susan.

Founded in 2022, Markethill based business Marshall Beekeeping is renowned for its local honey, candles, and fudge and the Tannaghmore Bird Fair offers the perfect opportunity to try some of their award-winning chilli hot honey. This unique product is made with a delicious blend of local honey and chili peppers delivering a sweet, smoky flavour with just a hint of heat.
