Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Margaret Tinsley and members of council were delighted to congratulate local Magheralin swimmer Daniel Wiffen at a Civic Reception this week, as he returned to the borough following his double Gold winning success at the recent World Aquatic Championships in Doha!
Daniel was proud to show the councillors his two gold medals and also his trophy for Male Swimmer of the Meet and tell them of his journey from his first interest in swimming through his older brother Ben to becoming world Champion and now looking forward to participating in his second Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
