Local community groups can now apply for grants up to £250 to purchase bedding plants and shrubs thanks to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Small Floral Grant Scheme.
Now open for applications, the scheme is designed to help local residents create colourful and welcoming spaces within their communities that not only appeal to both visitors and locals but also support wellbeing and biodiversity.
Community groups will be awarded a small grant by the council on the basis of evidence of real interest on the part of the community concerned in making a practical contribution to the improvement of the local area.
Please note upon a successful application, council will purchase the bedding plants or shrubs on behalf of the community group, which the group will then collect and tend to thereafter.
