Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is excited to announce the third call for applications to the ‘Fit For Future’ grant scheme, aimed at rejuvenating vacant properties across the borough.

Eligible property owners and prospective tenants can apply for grants of up to £20,000 to support internal and external renovations, enhancing property appeal and contributing to the area’s revitalisation.

The ‘Fit For Future’ scheme has been instrumental in reducing commercial vacancies, fostering sustainable growth, and creating job opportunities within the borough. By transforming unused spaces into modern properties, the initiative enhances streetscapes and stimulates economic activity.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Sarah Duffy, said:

“This scheme demonstrates Council’s unwavering commitment to regeneration and growth across our borough. By breathing new life into vacant properties, we’re not only improving our streetscapes but also creating opportunities for businesses and communities to thrive. I urge property owners and tenants to take advantage of this transformative funding opportunity.”

Applications open on Monday 13 January 2025 at 9am with a phone clinic on Tuesday 14 January from 9am to 3pm to offer advice and support. Anyone interested are encouraged to review the application guides and submit their applications before the closing date of Friday 28 February 2025.
