Deputy Lord Mayor Sorcha McGeown recently welcomed members of Lurgan Ladies Hockey Club to Craigavon Civic Centre for a civic reception to mark the club’s centenary.
Members of the U11 team and U15 Development team, who were crowned Ulster Champions last season, attended the civic reception with President Sharon Gordon, Chairperson Sue Gibson and Coach Darren Cassells.
The Deputy Lord Mayor congratulated both teams on their recent achievements and praised the club’s Social Committee for organising a successful gala dinner last October to celebrate the club’s 100th anniversary.
Councillor Kyle Savage and Councillor Peter Haire were also in attendance.
