Lord Mayor Alderman Margaret Tinsley recently held a civic reception in the Civic Building, Banbridge to recognise the outstanding achievements of Banbridge Academy’s hockey teams who have had an exceptional season.
The Boys 1st XI team won the Herbie Sharman Trophy and the Ulster Schools’ McCullough Cup.
The Girls 1st XI team won the All-Ireland Schools’ Daphne Hall Trophy while the Girls U14 team won the Junior Cup and June Smith Trophy.
Alderman Paul Greenfield joined the Lord Mayor in congratulating the teams along with their captains, vice-captains and coaches.
