Following the incredible success of the first Junior Triathlon held at Craigavon Lakes last year, registration is now open for the 2023 event!
Taking place on Sunday 2nd July at 10am, the Tri Limits Junior Triathlon is open to young people aged between eight and 17.
Starting with a swim, followed by bike race and ending with a run, there will be five age categories with distances to suit each age group.
“Last year’s Junior Triathlon event was absolutely brilliant and the young people who participated had a fantastic day, pushing themselves to their sporting limits,” commented the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
“The venue for this event is stunning and it is a very safe and secure setting, with lifeguards and marshals positioned strategically around the course. So, if you have a young person who fancies a challenge this summer, get them to register now and encourage family and friends to come along in support!”
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a medal and the races will be chip timed. There will also be spot prizes on the day!
Numbers in each age category will be capped at a certain amount and you will not be able to register on the day – so make sure you enter asap!
