The Lord Mayor, Alderman Margaret Tinsley was delighted to welcome to the Palace, Armagh the successful Treble winning 1st XI Hockey Girls from the Royal School, Armagh.

After a fantastic season the girls ended by winning the Senior Superleague Cup, the Belfast Telegraph Schools Cup and also the Kate Russell All Ireland Schoolgirls Championship.

The Lord Mayor, who was accompanied by Councillor Julie Flaherty, congratulated the girls on behalf of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council on their success and wished them well firstly for exam season starting shortly and then for next season when they aim to match this year’s successes.
