Earlier this week, Lord Mayor Alderman Margaret Tinsley attended the launch of this year’s John Hewitt International Summer School Programme at the Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre.

Inspired by the renowned poet, art historian, collector, and political activist – John Hewitt – the prestigious summer school features a diverse range of talks, discussions, readings, and performances from leading contributors to the world of arts, politics and current affairs.

The week-long festival of literature, arts and politics will run from Monday 24 to Saturday 29 July and will focus on the theme of The State We’re In: Back to the Future.
