Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council recently secured funding from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for the development of an Armagh Apple Orchards Tourism Experience Cluster.
The aim of the initiative is to bring together businesses and other partners to co-develop a holistic experience for visitors to help drive economic growth. The Armagh Bramley Apple secured PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status in 2012 as an acknowledgement of its quality and uniqueness to this geographical area.
An online Visioning Workshop is being hosted from 10.30am to 12noon on Friday 14 May 2021 to introduce the project as an opportunity for all who are associated with the North Armagh Apple Orchards community and area. It is an invitation to collectively inform a vision for the experiences it can deliver that are built on the unique heritage and culture of its lands, produce and shared story.
To register your interest to attend, please contact Lisa Finnegan at by 12noon on Monday 10 May 2021.
